So I have a wideband (aem uego, 6 in 1) on the way and a Safc2 coming soon, while I have an idea of where I'll put the wideband....I havent the faintest idea of where to put the Safc2!
the red reprsents my choice of mounting location for the wideband. its in my feild of veiw without being too distracting and it stays below the topline of the dash so theres no legal problems. but what about the Safc2? one thought is with the bracket below the radio in the change cup, but i'm sort of fond of a dish for odds and ends. another though is in the glovebox or the armrest cubby, but i think visible is good since i'm new to using this. someone else suggested above the center vents, but that just screams STEAL MEE!!! and finally molding it into the space below the radio. i NEVER use the cupholder in there at all, but i'm not sure if i have the vertical room to do that. -------------------- |

My three suggestions:
remove vents and mold into the panels. or just set in front of the heat gauge. and your problem: sounds like something is interfering with the signal to the radio, through the gauge. i would source an alternate power source from somewhere in the engine bay, then come through the fire wall, away from the head unit. i would think that would solve the problem. i.e. pull power from the engine bay, and then ground to the frame. that should solve it, based on your troubleshooting. . -John- This post has been edited by Mynzeyes: Jul 12, 2006 - 3:31 PM -------------------- |
