 Speedo sensor testing |

Does anyone know how to test the speedo sensor to see if its bad, or if I have a short in my wiring. My speedo just all the sudden stopped working and I'm trying to figure out if I have a short or if my speedo sensor went bad. Also is there a fuse for the speedo sensor?
Oh yea the rest of my gauges are working fine just my speedo stopped working and I have a code 42(speedo code). |

Is there anyway to test it to see if that is the problem? Also did your trip counter stop working too?
