I took pictures for those of you who want to install an injen intake or any other intake. I think installing an intake is basically the same for any intake on our Celica. The air filter box restricts valuable air from coming in and only has one source of air come in from one direction. An intake has air coming in from all direction. Take a look at the picture below.

If you're worried about battery acid from coming into the manifold then buy an air filter with a heatshield ( 1st picture below) or a heatshield for your intake. My battery doesn't really leak at all, so I'm not worried about it from coming into my manifold. If it does leak, the filter would keep most of it from coming in. Plus why would you keep the battery on your car if it leaks that much? It would ruin your engine and other compartments too; not just your engine..... As for cold air induction, wouldn't you have cold air coming the black pipe (2nd picture below) where the air filter box used to be connected to? My cold air intake actually makes my car go faster. I can feel the difference........... If it was the same I would have kept the filter box on and I would've sold my intake on ebay. Iono that's just my 3.5 cents.
