does anyone know if this may cause crappy back pressure or wipe out the piston rings?

is it on the exhaust tract after the manifold or is it bolted to the block itself???

look like a cylinder shape?, have vacuum lines or wires coming out of it?

cylinder shape is connected to the block by one bolt and no vacuum lines or wire only wire on the whole entire thing i know of comes from the o2sensor wich is on the manifold itself.
