Clutch return spring. You may need a manual starter relay. I didn't use one, but I can start my car w/o the clutch in, I just leave it out of gear when its off as my safety switch.
As for the ECU, it's not needed at all, your OD light just blinks, yank the bulb. You need tranny mounts too. Auto and manual ones don't line up. TRD Quickshifter is shorter than stock throws, and it comes WITH A SHIFT ASSEMBLY. So you can save some bucks here and get a nice QS kit. There's various clips and pins to hold the shift cables in too. I am so stupid and didn't save my list. It was so comprehensive for a GT. -------------------- |

You don't need a manual starter relay, you just need to route the wires that used to go to the Neutral Start Switch to the Clutch Start Switch. Also for OBDII cars ('96 and up) you are going to need the ECU hack or manual ECU. As far as I know, only the driver's side mount is needed, is this correct or no? -Doc -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

(or leave cut and don't start the car in gear) 2 - and as for a 96+ conversion...if you just swap from a 1997 A/T ECU to a 1996 M/T ECU (both 7A) will that be fine ? are the pinouts on both ECUs the same (same locations) ? I know there would be some extra wires not being used (for the auto tranny) but are we talking just plug and play here ? thanks This post has been edited by Batman722: Aug 3, 2006 - 12:47 AM -------------------- |
