I belive every car must have VIN... VIN should looks like this:
or link http://www.toyotacelicaonline.com/VIN.htm so... because Celica is Japan car, VIN should start with letter "J"... and because it's Toyota, second one should be "T"... now... what I'm looking for is SS-III VIN (for Toyota dealer and order some parts) and it looks like it's not possible find that VIN on SS-III Celica... there is frame code: E-ST202-BLMZF (manual tranny) E-ST202-BLPZF (automatic tranny) there is some other identification code like: ST202-1234567 ...but where shoud be that damned VIN? Any ideas, pictures, etc? p.s.: ...or is possible that Japan imported cars just don't have common VIN? VIN - are used on most US cars, in Europe, if you want to order some parts and etc - all you need is Chasis number, cuz there are no other identification numbers on SSIII. Even Chasis number on SSIII is different then EURO or US celicas. On my SSIII chasis number starts without any letters in front:
Like this: ST202-1234567 And Daniel - only US cars have VIN in the Dash. -------------------- Ex celica owner - just a guy from other side of the pond...
