Well I am not exactly sure where this topic should fall. I was originally thinking electrical, then maintenance, but I decided to put it under Forced Induction since I figure only people running a turbo go through the trouble of installing guages, especially a boost!
So I have been searching and searching gauges across the net and there are so many different ranges on them. I have seen EGT gauges that have a max of 1200F and some that have a 2400F max, so I was hoping that all of you running turbos could give me what your normal operating range is and what the max I should get would be. Also if you could state if its a 3SGTE or a 5SFTE that would be great. I am planning on building a 5SFTE so that is what I am most interested in, so once again Manny I am hoping to get an answer from you. Thanks in advance! Of course all others I am hoping to get your feedback! So basically let me know all of your gauges, oil pressure, boost, egt, oil/water temp, etc. Not saying I am getting all the gauges but thought it would be nice to know. Thanks. QUOTE(presure2 @ Aug 4, 2006 - 2:12 PM) the 1200* ones your seeing are more than likely in celius. I was kind of thinking that the 1200 would be in C and the F was a typo. It would make sense. Do you know what your normal operating range is on your gauges, or do you have to wait until you have the car and check it when your in it? -------------------- |
