Hi there everyone. Recently i have bought new 17inch rims for my celi and i use 225/45/R17 tyre. This weekend a mechanic told me that the tyres size it's not correct and that it's higher than normal. I 've been told that i should use 215/45 tyres otherwise the 225/45 tyre will cause many problems to the car!!! I really don't know what to do since the tyres are almost new and i don't want to replace them. I would appreciate any advise and any information from you guys......

QUOTE(presure2 @ Aug 7, 2006 - 11:43 AM) i am currently running 225/45/17 with a 35 offset, with eibach sportline springs (1.5" drop) ive ran sets if 205/40, and 215/40's. after running all 3, i would NEVER buy another tire size other than 225/45 on a 17" rim again. the speedo diffrence is ~3mph. IMO well worth it for the diffrence in handleing, ride quality, traction, and looks. the last 3 pics in my profile are with the 225's. w0rd -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
