Hi there everyone. Recently i have bought new 17inch rims for my celi and i use 225/45/R17 tyre. This weekend a mechanic told me that the tyres size it's not correct and that it's higher than normal. I 've been told that i should use 215/45 tyres otherwise the 225/45 tyre will cause many problems to the car!!! I really don't know what to do since the tyres are almost new and i don't want to replace them. I would appreciate any advise and any information from you guys......

QUOTE It really does not matter if its turbo or non-turbo, grip is sufficient at 205. not with 270+ft lbs of torque ![]() besides the fact that its not so much the grip that made me go up in size..its RIDE QUALITY...here in the states, roads are bad, the 205's tend to pop quite easily. the 215s were better, not quite as harsh, and helped stop the tire popping. the 225s are as close to stock feeling ride quality ive had since i was stock. ![]() -------------------- Former Team 5SFTE pro member ;)
