Sorry to bring up an old topic but even after reading the sticky im still confused about offset and fitment. I promise to study more on it. smile.gif I want to pick up a set of Gram L. 57s rims that are 17x8.5 with +48 offset. I wanted to know if these would fit normally or if i would need some spacers for them? my car is lowered quite a bit but its adjustable so i could compensate. Any help would be greatly appriciated. thank you!

ps. and yes this guy is local (stupid paypal) ...ranting, sorry

With 8,5 width I dont think you would clear the shocks. I think a 15mm spacer would be sufficient.

Check the next site where you can calculate the difference between your current setup and what you want to place.

http://marksink.com/tire_wheel_offset/offset.html

With a 15mm spacer (effective 33mm offset) it would be

The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 17mm LESS
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 21mm
