I just purchased some Tein S-Tech lowering springs and was looking for professional installation but my price quote seemed a little high. I called the only place in my town that can do it and they said $344 for the installation. Does that seem a little high or about right? Also how hard is it to install them yourself? I read the article but didnt know if a compressor was really needed and about how long it would take an average joe to install them right.

amen to that.... i JUST installed my s-techs in one afternoon, with help from a friend. you'll need an air compressor with an impact gun and a breaker bar, but all the other tools are standard stuff (sockets, combo wrenches, etc). you can rent spring compressors, or you can tie the struts up in an old sheet or towel before unbolting the assembly.

professional installation, if you resort to it, should not be more than $200....but this is really something you can do. like mynzeyes says, everyone is here to help!
