Supposidly you can screw the s2k antenna dircetly into the 7th gen base. Instead of doing the, glue and crimp technique, shown in the how too.
I'm in NY. Hit me with a PM or on Aol Instant Messanger:devilsden97 Edit: broke mine the other night....kinked the motorized one at the base. Now it doesnt retract all the way down. This post has been edited by devilsden97: Aug 21, 2006 - 2:44 PM -------------------- Kawi Love |

When I went to the dealer to buy the antenna base, the guy said that its three
parts, and the main part is long like a tube, and he wanted $100 for all three parts. so I didnt buy it. While toyota world only wanted $50 is it really three diffrent parts? (no just the base?) |

QUOTE(djspike @ Aug 21, 2006 - 9:54 PM) When I went to the dealer to buy the antenna base, the guy said that its three parts, and the main part is long like a tube, and he wanted $100 for all three parts. so I didnt buy it. While toyota world only wanted $50 is it really three diffrent parts? (no just the base?) djspike, You'll only need to buy 2 things. 1. the S2K Black rubber antenna, and 2. the 7th gen tube assembly. Don't get the 7th gen mast confused with the tube. The mast is the actual ugly antenna that we're all complaining about on our cars. The tube is the actual part that holds the antenna and wiring in the sheet metal of the car. The base you won't need beacause you can just use your existing one on your car. If you're getting confused as to what the base is, it's the silver base/knob where your antenna comes out of on the exterior of the car. If you look below in the pic it's called #4. Ornament and #5 you can also use your existing nut. Hope that clears everything up for you. -Christee- Here's what I'm talking about. This post has been edited by CelicaQT: Aug 21, 2006 - 9:31 PM |
