So im going to be wrapping my 7th gen GTS rims with tires this week. They are 16x6.5 wide. I was thinkin, maybe, possibly, trying to fit a 225/45 tire on them.
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/f...ze.do&ar=45 Would this work? Manny? I want a wide tire for auto x events and what not. OR, would i be better off going with a 215/45 tire. Another thing that i should add is, i have a pretty big drop thanks to the intrax lowering springs. But they are only 16's. Last question. Currently, i have the stock 15 BBS wheels on there with beefy 205/65 tires on. Would the 225/45/16 tire lower the car more due to a reduced side wall? If so, that would be awesome. Well let me know what you think. Thanks. -Jim -------------------- Teh Celica sleeps for Winter '06. Suspension overhaul begins........

reveals this with a quick search. Now i understand that i cant get any tire size that i want, but, damn, tire shopping f'in sucks, thats why im asking for the advice of people that know more then me. And you seriously think that going from a 65 to a 50 would drop another inch?? holy crap... -------------------- Teh Celica sleeps for Winter '06. Suspension overhaul begins........

It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. |

As you said, not really safe. Im not really inerested in how big of a drop that a tire would give me, more interested in,...... handleing specs. I dont know if i want used tires either. I plan on buying new. But if the price is right..... This post has been edited by hitcachi: Aug 29, 2006 - 1:53 AM -------------------- Teh Celica sleeps for Winter '06.
