Hi all new to this do I think you guys maybe able to help.
I currently have a Celica Gen 6 auto with a 3S-FE engine turning about 140 BHP I've benn looking around and it appear the other engine that was fitted to the celica was a 3S-GE which puts out around 180 to 190 BHP. My question is that if the engine is from a MR2 or other car is it a simple job to switch engines as I have a Auto box. in short will the 3S-GE just drop into the hole???? Many thanks |

The engine is the same whether its from a Celica or MR2. The difference is the accessory brackets and mounts... but if you have a 3SFE... most of those should transfer over.
And... no... swapping heads would NOT be easier because the pistons are also very different. Besides that... source yourself an engine harness and ecu and most everything should bolt up alright... -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"
