i just got my 95 celica gt hatch a few weeks ago and i knew that the left bright had a small leak somewhere because there was some slight moisture in it, so i made a post and was told to just use a blow dryer to dry it out. well, we've had a lot of rain lately and i washed it for the first few times(generally once a week if i can), and now i have over 1/4inch of water in the light. so i figure i prolly have a bad seal, but i don't know the best way to take care of it. i could silicone the headlamp shut, but what goes into removing the lamp to do that? any suggestions out there? need to fix this quick bc i don't want to ruin the plastic of the lamp or my wiring

QUOTE(klm317 @ Mar 13, 2006 - 9:46 PM) i just got my 95 celica gt hatch a few weeks ago and i knew that the left bright had a small leak somewhere because there was some slight moisture in it, so i made a post and was told to just use a blow dryer to dry it out. well, we've had a lot of rain lately and i washed it for the first few times(generally once a week if i can), and now i have over 1/4inch of water in the light. so i figure i prolly have a bad seal, but i don't know the best way to take care of it. i could silicone the headlamp shut, but what goes into removing the lamp to do that? any suggestions out there? need to fix this quick bc i don't want to ruin the plastic of the lamp or my wiring ![]() i have the same problem.. what i did was i removed the round rubber gaskets and let the water evaporate dry. after condensing it and putting back all together.. there is still moisture coming in. i really don't know how to get rid of the moisture. i posted this problem to but they their advice was to seal everything. honestly i still have the same problem right now on both bright lights. have you fixed yours? |
