Ok i have a dilema, i have not been able to sell my Alltrac, the best, and pretty much only offer i got was from this guy wanting to trade me his 92 miata for it. My Alltrac doesn't run and all, but do you think it would be a even or if anything a good idea to trade?

Have you tried posting on mr2oc.com? A 3s is a 3s, and all trac.net is never much help when I post over there, I find mr2oc to be a much better place, and maybe you can find someone in so cal with a mr2 or alltrac to come over and hook their afm up and see if that is your problem or not. I kinda think you need to ditch your aftermarket coil and get a oem one.

I kinda think you need to ditch your aftermarket coil and get a oem one. I still have the OEM one and i can splice the connector back on. I made sure to cut it off so i could have enough wire to do so just incase i wanted to switch back . I got ripped off a few times on Alltrac.net and it was kinda upsetting. I asked people for help and they were like, "Oh i have that part, i can help you out." and then i would end up buying it, and then the part i get isn't even the right part for the car. Like when i wanted another OEM coil and ignitor to try. This guy said he had one from his 91 Alltrac that he did a swap to, so im like ok and i bought it, and he sent it to me and it looks like he sent me one off a different toyota. Im not sure, but it definatly was not for my alltrac and the coil wire wouldn't even plug into it. He was giving me excuses on the late shipment too, like "oh i have the ignitor, but i cant find the coil right now, give me a few more days". But the thing was when i recieved them, they were connected together, and you could tell from the screws that they were never even separated. Another guy sold me a steering column that "would fit for sure", i got it, took my old one out, try to bolt the new one in, and it does not even line up the same way. I never heard from either of them again. So this is the only reason why im skepticle when buying used parts from people . i've had bad experiences. sorry for the rant again =/. i just got in from washing the celica, and now that i seen it clean again.. there's no way i can let it go.. hahaha But i might check out MRoc.com. i have never been there before, but i heard that there are some very knowledgable people over there. thanks for the advice. btw.. hehe, i know it's off topic completely, but here's a pic of my celi after the bath and with the lights in sigh... why wont she run... sniffle.. EDIT: hey i found a picture of that sensor with the broken wire i took awhile back. It's that sensor on the top left of the picture, if you follow the wire you can see that it connects to a connector, and the other end connects to nothing. And you can see the other broken wire poping out of the loom. touching these two wires together does nothing to affect how the car runs becuase ive tried it. The wires are also not the same color so they prolly don't even go together (but i could be wrong). If you cant tell where this is located at, it is located on the right side of the engine (looking from the front) right in front of the distributor. Does anybody know what sensor that is? That sensor is the tempature gauge sensor. That doesn't effect how it runs. I would fix those wires and then find someone with an mr2t or alltrac and swap out afm, coil etc.. till you find the problem. |
