So this weekend I decided to tackle the passenger side axle of my 95 st. Well after a long removal process I got the old one out and got the new one in. I bought a seal from Advance Auto, and it just slipped over the axle shaft and seems to cover the hole where the shaft slips into the transmission. The problem that I am having now is there is a very small leak coming from the transmission where the axle goes in.

Any help on what might be causing this would be much appreciated. Let me know if any extra info would be helpful.

I believe so, it wouldn't go in any further, and the leak stopped when it went it, I just went back out and there it was leaking again. It had to wait until I got all the bolts in. I am wondering if I maybe damaged the seal inside the transmission that the shaft goes through or if I didn't put on the seal from Advance Auto right.
