I was tired of not being able to find all of my cleaning stuff so I went out today and bought a whole new lineup. Pretty much everything is Meguiars so I am hoping to get a good result. Here is a pic of what I have. I dont have soap because the water pressure at my house is messed up so I take it to the self washes around my area then take it home to wax it and everything.
![]() What does everybody else use? Has anybody ever tried the Meguiars 3 step wax thing? I was thinking about getting it but want good feedback on it to justify spending that much money lol -------------------- ![]() |

QUOTE hey i got a question i read through this thread and got a little confused....What would be a good product to take the swirls out the surface of the car?....its hard to explain what iam talking about ...its like tiny scracthes but not To remove swirls or scratches you should try either a "swirl remover" like Poorboy's World SSR or a rubbing compund. These can take out most swirl marks and scratches depending on their depth. If you are talking about deep scratches then wet sanding would have to be done. Pictures would help as well ![]() Well I washed my car today..finally. Since we just had the leftovers from the hurricane here my car was FILTHY. I used the Meg's Clay system that I bought from Autozone but I think I need to move to a more aggressive clay since I have never clayed this car before and its 11 years old. I used some ColorX and NXT paste wax to make it shine. I will be buying a PorterCable 7424 soon and some nicer waxes/polishes etc. It came out pretty well.. Exterior: Wheels 303 Aerospace Protectant/Megs All Wheel Cleaner on wheels Wheel Wax Megs Hot Shine Foam on tires Paint Megs Gold Class Wash Megs Clay Megs Gold Class Wash ColorX w/microfiber applicator NXT w/foam applicator ETC Invisible Glass on windows Black Again on trim Never Dull on muffler ![]() Interior: Vaccum/Dust 303 Aerospace Protectant/ Megs Quik Interior Detailing Spray on all surfaces IG on windows/mirrors I was only able to get a few pics before it rained ![]() ![]() These wheels have about 80k miles on them now but the cleaners/wax made them look pretty good. ![]() Some of my stuff.. ![]() Some of the reflection, and some dust from the NXT wax... ![]() This post has been edited by bojangles_8686: Sep 4, 2006 - 8:57 PM -------------------- ![]() |
