Thanks to Doug and rjb23 for experimenting with other short shifters (Doug-EVO and rjb23-7th gen). I recieved mine (7th gen about $45 on ebay) and installed. It took about 1.5 hours from start to finish. I downloaded the instructions from TWMs website and read the ones in the how to articles.
I have to say the throw is much much shorter and about 1-2 inches lower than stock. My finger are kinda close to the dash but I think it is because I only used 2 of the 4 spacers (the back 2) plus I have big hands. I will put some pics up when I put the other 2 spacers in. Bottom line, this this rocks - great mod for $45. This post has been edited by Batman722: Mar 29, 2005 - 12:24 AM -------------------- |

How the heck are you guys getting the ratchet to work with no room? I've been trying to tighten it for the last half hour and all I've done is mad myself mad.
The rear 2 you can somewhat get enough room for, but the front two are just cramped. I'm using one single socket extension for the rears. Is there another tool? Can someone tell me how to remove the centre console trim at the front so I can get more room? I've taken out at least 8 screws and that piece is still attached to the top trim pieces.. argh... |
