Hey guyz, I finally got my 4age 20V and its in the shop right now and it is getting dropped in as we speak!!! Im very happy that im finally getting this done but there are a couple of things I was thinking about. Well I wanna boost my motor but it is very hard for me to find any aftermarket parts for this engine(pistons and etc.). So I just wanted to know first of how much boost can this motor take with the stock block and head, witch turbo should I use, and where can I get a turbo maniflod for the 20V? Also, if anybody knows a site where I can get some aftermarket parts for this motor... please let me know!!! Thanx guyz.

"MAP refers to as manifold absolute pressure sensor, which is used to monitor the difference in pressure between the intake manifold at outside atmosphere. This information is used by the engine computer to monitor engine load (vacuum drops when the engine is under load or at wide open throttle). When the engine is under load, the computer changes spark timing and the fuel mixture to improve performance and emissions. "
So that said, you will also need to keep the MAP sensor that is located on your passenger side sidewall of your car(sensor that is bolted down and has a skinny vacuum line connected to it from the engine). You will also need this to do the MAP conversion for the engine. Make sure to tell Dr. Tweak what your intentions are to run MAP instead of the AFM on the engine so he does the wiring to suit a MAP setup for the car. But, first ask him if you'll be able to use one of the unused vacuum lines on the silvertop. If he says you can't then ask him if he is able to convert the blacktop wiring for the engine so it will use the AFM(which was the silvertop's original intake setup) Or other alternative is the go on the CLUB4ag forum and find the thread that talks about doing the MAP conversion on the silvertop. If Dr. Tweak said he's able to make the wiring to run the AFM, then you should just do that and buy yourself the ae101 silvertop ecu to run the car. The AFM can be taken out of the pre 1991 4 cylinder camry and be used on the silvertop. I know this because I am currently using the camry AFM with no problems at all ![]() This post has been edited by netrata: Sep 8, 2006 - 10:20 PM -------------------- ![]() |
