I just recently read that there is a push in Austraila to put a ban on smacking children, and found it quite interesting. Got me to thinking, what is the consensus coming from the people here (who are mostly from the US) about it? As a form of punishment (read: not abuse), do you think it's ok? Before anyone says anything, please remember to keep it civil, ok wink.gif

In Chinese tradition, beating the **** out of a child is a regular form of punishment. In theory, that *suppose* to make the child remember and not to do it again. They have this saying "The child hurts from getting beaten, but the mother hurts more by beating the child"... Honestly, I don't believe in it, I think the mother ****ing ENJOYS beating the living **** outta the child. But yea,... that's the tradition.
