ok, so im coasting down to a stop when i get home, and all of a suddent when i try to put it in gear, the clutch has like a pop, and i cant engage in my gear, and when i press the clutch all the way in, it has like a loud whine, almost grind... i hope its not the clutch, i just changed it out about 2 years ago, not a lot of miles, no racing and i dont ride the clutch... plus there wasnt any burning and it has engaged fine the entire time...the only thing that i can think of that would be considered signs of wear would be is before, at idle, the car rand fine, then with the clutch pressed, no matter how far, there would be a slight whine/whistle... my thinking it has something to do with the hydrolic system, anyone have any input???

I'm new to 6GC forums, but not maintenance on cars. Whining when you press the clutch pedal sound to me like a bad throw out bearing.
I've had my 6GCV for only a few weeks. so still finding my way around the engine compartment. I didn't realize these had a hydraulic clutch. Mine grabs a bit high on teh pedal (~83k miles), so hopefully has some adjustment still before it needs a new clutch. -------------------- 1995 Black on Black Convertible
