here is a pic of a toyota 5sfe timing belt with ~100k on it..it came outta itchyb's old 5sfe.
this is the reason toyota recommends doing the timing belt every 60k. good stuff, heh heh..

i inspected my 60k old belt at 120K on the dot, it can go a couple thousand more miles.
i twisted it back and forth and ran my fingernail over the back of it. the belt wasnt signifigantly glazed and i couldnt feel any cracks on the backside of it. i wish i had a timing chain instead of a belt. -------------------- |
