here is a pic of a toyota 5sfe timing belt with ~100k on it..it came outta itchyb's old 5sfe.
this is the reason toyota recommends doing the timing belt every 60k. good stuff, heh heh.. ![]()

How much does a timing belt change cost (ballpark) on a 7a?

Plus timing chain engines are almost always interference, so when they do go, your engine is essentially done. |

I call BS ![]() But yeah that's everything on the front of the engine, front main seal, water pump, belts, etc. I always recommend getting it all done at one while it's all apart anyway. Dead serious, Doc! This is what I was told last winter. Call them up and ask how much theyd charge for a timing belt replacement on a 2.2L 94 Celica. I was calling all around the state out of sheer curiousity just to see what people were quoting, and I got anywhere from 170 to 300 dollars (the final guy I went with did it for 220, mainly because his shop was 100 yards downhill from me and I could push my lifeless car there without paying for a tow).
