ok, so im coasting down to a stop when i get home, and all of a suddent when i try to put it in gear, the clutch has like a pop, and i cant engage in my gear, and when i press the clutch all the way in, it has like a loud whine, almost grind... i hope its not the clutch, i just changed it out about 2 years ago, not a lot of miles, no racing and i dont ride the clutch... plus there wasnt any burning and it has engaged fine the entire time...the only thing that i can think of that would be considered signs of wear would be is before, at idle, the car rand fine, then with the clutch pressed, no matter how far, there would be a slight whine/whistle... my thinking it has something to do with the hydrolic system, anyone have any input???

Yes it is your Throw out bearing and the reason your pedal is low is because when the T.O.Bearing goes often the nearing has been over heating and the fork can get red hot and finally bend back from the pressure you put on it when you press on the clutch pedal. I had a fleet of trucks and I would usually replace the fork the T.O. bearing sits on at the same time. It was 8 bucks for the fork back in the 80's for a ford truck fork and it snapped in and out when the trans was pulled back. While the trans is apart changing all the moving parts at the same time saves lots of headaches later. Trying to save a few bucks even 100 bucks will give you more than that much headaches later, particularly iyou intend keeping the car.
