I was racing a Z24 Cavy with a 50 shot and when I went to go from 3rd to 2nd insted of 4th gear. I was a good 2 car lengths ahead at the time though. The only reason I win races against most guys is because of my launches and fast shifts. But when I missed the shift, the motor went haywire. The rev limiter did not kick in at all. I have no idea how high it rev'd, but it was past the 8k mark. But now, the flywheel is litterally in pieces. Which is really a rare thing to happen. The clutch is obviously gone too. And I may have bent the crank. So, I might be in the market for a 3sgte, 3sge, 1mzfe, 3mzfe, or 4age. We'll see what happens. I hate to waste this opertunity and put another 5sfe in there. It all just depends on what I can find and for what price. I'm really upset to see my baby down though.

QUOTE(Mynzeyes @ Sep 19, 2006 - 9:30 AM) daaaayuuuum kid, if you got that much wik3d driving skill youd be beatin' skylines... craaazy skillllz oh, and some upgraded latitudinal engine mounts. seeing as how the side mounts do nothing unless it's a longitudinally mounted engine. n00b. that should help your uber-l33t misshifting driving skillzzZz Are you making fun of me? You've always been cool to me, so I'm hoping that I'm missunderstanding what you've said here. The side mounts are the ones behind the radiator and next to the shift lever. That's how they list them at the auto parts stores. They don't do much for something like drag, but they just make the car a little more responsive on tite courses. QUOTE(zipstrips @ Sep 19, 2006 - 10:48 AM) i would like to see some pics of that flywheel. the aftermarket wheels have sfi ratings that have RPM ranges there safe to. what brand was it? I honestly can't remember. It was aftermarket when I got it, and then I lightend it up. Could have just been too much wieght cut off it or something QUOTE(celica3sgte @ Sep 19, 2006 - 12:25 PM) A 240 is rwd, I doubt you got the hole shot on him. Maybe he didn't have the swap. He is a buddy of mine, and it is swapped, I've seen the motor with my own eyes. If your going to say crap like that, stay out of my thread. I'm not new to driving or racing my car. Just because I don't post about it all the time, doesn't mean I don't knwo what I'm talking about. A fwd with good tires and a good driver can get the hole shot on a rwd with worse tires and not as good a driver. Next time I take the car down to Fairmount to run on the 1/8, I'll take a pick of my slip before I throw it away to show you my almost flat 2 sec 60 foot time. Don't be a douche. -------------------- Live Free, Be Happy
