I'd like to remove the "toyota" "celica" and "gt" emblems off the back, and just leave the middle 3-ring toyota emblem. from what I know (and I very well could be wrong) the middle emblem is the only on that would actually leave holes if removed, and the others are held on by some kind of double-sided tape? so how do I go about removing them?
I'd like to go for the shaved emblem look for my new hatch, but I want to practice with my old hatch right now so if I screw anything up it really doesn't matter. ^ as for the center emblem, you can simply pry them off the same way with the adhesive emblems.. there are two pins on the center emblem, which are locked inside with tiny clips so you'll need to pull them off to break the clips off.
then you'll be left with two little holes. i simply used bondo and resprayed them with a spray can. ^for the cursive celica emblem, what i did i cut off all four pegs and grinded them flat. then i cut up some double sided tape and stuck them on the backside. it'll take some time for this since there are a lot of curves you're gonna have to get around. i think another member here simply drilled holes and stuck them straight in.. but if you do this, be sure you drill the holes at the right places using the ideal sized drill bit for the clips on the pins to lock onto. november 2005 -------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
