i just want to know if u swap a motor, do u have to tell insurance companies....do they check the id number on your engines.... do u get penalized if they found out that your engines not the same or your car isnt polution proof.....i want to know this cause i want to swap my motor but the sites that i ve been through, it seems like theres a big fee to swap a motor........so im just wondering whats the safest way to swap a motor into my celica....please all in details....

depends on the insurance company. the color change won't matter, they would just adjust the coverage accordingly. as far as an engine swap, it depends on your inspection as to if it's even legal in the first place, then, after the swap, i believe some companies may swap the car over to a salvage title because of the swap, and the insurance would adjust accordingly. .
