i just want to know if u swap a motor, do u have to tell insurance companies....do they check the id number on your engines.... do u get penalized if they found out that your engines not the same or your car isnt polution proof.....i want to know this cause i want to swap my motor but the sites that i ve been through, it seems like theres a big fee to swap a motor........so im just wondering whats the safest way to swap a motor into my celica....please all in details.... biggrin.gif

I'd really suggest asking yyour insurance before doing a swap,. If they say no, then look for other companies (i'm sure someone will cover you). Its best to have you a$$ covered before your drop lots of dough on an engine and not be able to have it covered by insurance. better to be safe than sorry
