Is it possible to change your odometer? I have to get a new speedo and I would like my mileage to be accurate, so if I buy a used speedo is possible to change the odemeter to what mine should be?

Ok I'll just add it on here for anyone else that might need the info. Maybe someone can make this a sticky.
It's pretty easy. 1. Take it out of the dash and disconnect wires. 2. remove the clear plastic cover 3. roll it forward (it wont roll back). Use something that you can get between each #, there are little gear teeth on both sides. gently seperate the #'s just enough to roll them forward. Start with the highest and go all the way past 9999999. When you get to where you want to be, stop and make sure that all the #'s are back to normal ( no gaps) Very important only roll it forward, it takes longer but if you try to go back it will mess up the gauge. It's not meant to roll back, but it is meant to roll forward so it's geared that way. Good luck and let me know how it works out for you. David -------------------- |
