How funny is all this stuff? I mean, REALLY. For those of you who missed it, read about it here: Mark Foley Scandal.
Excerpt:The Mark Foley scandal concerns Republican congressman Mark Foley's alleged sexually explicit instant messages and suggestive e-mails to former congressional pages, and the way information about the allegations against him were handled by the leadership of the Republican party. Foley's computer based conversations with these minors are being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the state of Florida Department of Law Enforcement for possible criminal violations. These questionable conversations took place during from 2003 to 2005. Foley resigned from Congress on September 29, 2006, immediately after the ABC News acquired copies of the explicit messages. He was chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children, which introduced legislation targeting sexual predators and creating stricter guidelines for tracking them. Foley was deputy Republican whip. So, on with the funny. Here are the IMs he sent to his 16 year old male page: The following transcript is alleged to be a chat between US Rep. yeah, the government should definately keep a close eye on this kid as well, he's definately a sexual predator in training.
