While in class today sometime between 9:30 and Noon someone decided it would be a good idea to bash in my drivers side rear window, open the door, and try to steal my deck. So theres a few things to be replaced, the window, the molding around the window, the tint that i had put on this summer, and the oakley decals. Now to the interior, they didnt know what the hell they were doing because instead of taking my shift nob off, and unscrewing everything...a total of probably 8 screws, they decide to rip off the dash cover (broke the plastic on the bottom where it connects) which ripped the dash kit that i have on there. Then the genius couldnt even undo 4 screws to take out the cd player, he tried to pull it out and bent every possible thing to hell. He never got the actual cd player. So after 500+ in damage...he made away with a faceplate worth what? 20 bucks. If anyone is selling the dash piece that goes around the cd player or could send me a link to one in the buy/sell forum it would be appreciated. Lets just say i had a great day.

That sucks! My car was broken into yesterday morning too but they were only in there for about 2 mins before something scared them off (maybe my dad coming out of garage)

I hate to say this but I had a considerate thief. They threw all the center console/glovebox stuff everywhere, but didnt trash the car. I had forgot my wallet in the little holder beside the lighter and they just took the cash out of it and left my wallet with all my ID (drivers, birth certificate, credit cards, school id and a few other annual passes) and left all my CDs/DVDs

And I know they only had a few minutes because they didnt touch any of my stereo (dvd deck/subs/amp) and I had a bunch of tools in the back seat, in plain view. 300piece socket set, drill, screwdriver, had all the tools to take my car apart inside the car, but only took the cash.

BTW can anyone tell me average time you can leave door ajar w/ interior lights on before your car wont start (dead batt)? Is it a a few hours?
