Ok here's the deal. My Celica is an automatic. Before you say it, I know. "Automatics...soooo sloooowww!" Now that it's out of our system, here's my question:
What I was wondering is if you could take an automatic shift knob (not the shifter assembly, just the knob) from a 7th gen celica and use it to replace the stock knob in 6th gens? Has anyone tried this or has anyone proven that it will/won't work? --------------------  |

You can buy those universal shifters from auto parts stores or ebay too. And I'm talking about automatics. If I had an auto, I would try to wire up some kind of paddle system. I know how to do it, it's complicated, but cool. Hrmm...a paddle system. Now that would be cool. Especially if the steering wheel from a 7th Gen GT-S automatic would bolt on.
