this was posted a while back, luckily i did a search and found what you're looking for:
http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=9930&hl= i've done numerous searches before and some of the details were still quite vague.. but to sum it all up, if you want to keep using your stock amplifiers, you'll need an unamplified signal out of the aftermarket deck you're installing (usually as RCA plugs for output audio at the back of the deck) to mate with the amplifier integration harness. i've already bought mine, the link is in the link above. here's how it should look like. Metra 70-8112 Premium Amplifier Integration Harness ![]() i'm assuming the rca cables plug into the rca outputs on the back of the deck, these btw are unamplified audio signals. there are two sets, black & white and purple&green. one pair for the front audio signals, the other for the rear. the rest of the wires hook up to the harness of the aftermarket deck for power, ground, antenna, etc. a diagram can be download here: Metra 70-8112 Installation Instructions the male end of the Metra harness plugs into the original wire harness connector from the amp to the factory stereo.(below) ![]() i hope that just about clarifies everything... this is what i've found after undergoing some research, but if any of it stands incorrect, pls post.
