i just want to know if u swap a motor, do u have to tell insurance companies....do they check the id number on your engines.... do u get penalized if they found out that your engines not the same or your car isnt polution proof.....i want to know this cause i want to swap my motor but the sites that i ve been through, it seems like theres a big fee to swap a motor........so im just wondering whats the safest way to swap a motor into my celica....please all in details.... biggrin.gif

In my state, all emissions consist of is driving into a garage and they stick a pipe into your exhaust to measure your actual emissions, and then they take your VIN #, and check your lights / wipers. Then a brake check and your done. So will i pass the emissions part of my exam? From the sound of it, I will with no problem there. I'm not sure what i'm gonna do about insurance after i have the new engine in.... LoL. havent gotten that far yet i suppose...
