My cousin has a 2001 Mustang V6 with some mods. My Celica is completely stock. We are close in the 1/4 mile. I win on the rare occasion, he wins most, but not by much. The difference shows on back roads such as Lake Road out near Webster Park or Kings Highway near Durand Park. If I let him start ahead, it doesn't take me long to pass him. If I lead off, it's all over. He looses sight of my tail lights after the first 1/2 mile. The Mustang can't handle the curves as well as the Celica. The REAL difference is not in acceleration, it's in handling. Best of luck with the Mustang. This post has been edited by lingham: Oct 15, 2006 - 5:52 PM -------------------- |
