Is this a good deal? http://www.sounddomain.com/sku/ABNABP10T

There is an mp3 version of that headunit for like 30 bucks more, but I don't know if that is really worth it. Can anyone tell me what they prefer? I was thinking 2 10 inch subs would be plenty. But if anyone has any tips on quality and price let me know please!

The headunit you picked isn't bad but it's preamp output is only 2v and there is only one set of preamp outputs. Since you plan on adding subs get a radio with at least two outputs and preferably at least 4v preamp. Because more than likely when you really crank up the subs you are gonna find out you need an amp for the other speakers. The extra outputs make ading the extra amp eaiser and the 4v output will give you better sound quality but it's not absolutely needed. Also the pioneer decks with two or more outputs usually have a built in crossover which will protect you speakers. Check out the DEH-P4500MP and the 5500MP both have dual outputs and mp3 playback. The 4500 is $169 and the 5500 is $199. Just remember that there is a slight delay inbetween songs on mp3 players it's not bad once you get used to it. Regular cd's usually have a second or two delay when you change tracks but mp3 players are closer to five seconds. The extra storage per disc makes it really worth it.

For your subwoofers you really need to go and listen to different subs because what sounds good to one person dosen't to another. Personaly I have one Kicker Solobaric 12 and I'm happy with it. It won't knock your sunglasses off but there is plenty of bass. When I worked as an installer salesmen I had a car with 6 12's in it and I'm really paying for it now... I have noticed hearing loss already and I'm only 27. I'm not preaching just go out and find what you like but remember you could be hurting yourself in the long run.
