Mine doesn't, and I can't tell if the switch should have a setting so that it (they) turn on when the door is opened. I have a 95 with two dome lights, one on each side of the rear view mirror.

Mine do, and I have a 94.
Maby its a factory option, maby it depends on gt or st.

Mine is a 96, and it's like you gotta play with the switch a little and get it in the right spot. But sometimes i come outside and my lights will be on even after i close the door. It's quite tricky haha.

For convertibles, i believe they are all GT.
