the engine is droped in and i had everything wired up but it wont start or even turn the engine over....
im using the 3 gen 3s wiring harness and connecting it to the connections that are in my 95 5s fuse box. ihave noticed that there are a few wires that dont plug into anything on that main plug, the one with that platic hold down that pivots to secure the plug in. the wires on the harness sid that dont connect with anythin on th car/5s side are a green with red and a single silver strip, a solid blue with one silver strip, and a slightly thicker blue with white and a single silver line. what do these three connect to? ive also noticed that on the in side if the car that there ar three plugs that are in front of the ecu, betwen the ecu and the shifter assembly, these three plugs are stacked vertically. while the plugs fit some of the wires dont connect to any thing. sdsfgdvdjfsfjf@!$#!%~!!!!!!! im going to cry soon ahhhh what wires do what and which ones do i have to worry about???? Do you not have the ST205 repair manuals? The EWD is in the second volume.
Download them here if you don't have them: http://wannabegt4.myftp.org/Celica/ST205/RM398E-RM399E.zip -------------------- Project ST204.5 99.88946% complete... |

The fact that the motor isn't turning over is probably a separate issue from other things... Make sure your battery is charged and go through your starting circuit to get the motor to crank. You have to have the wires that go from the plug with the handle in the fuse box to the second sub fuse box that attaches to the radiator. In there, you will find the relays for the intercooler water pump and fuel pump relay. You can start without the intercooler water pump wiring, but not the fuel pump wiring. Did you get a whole clip? If so, those wires are all there and you can add them to the harness in your car. I've I ever get time (work is crazy right now), I can check all the wires that you are talking about that go to the dash - I have a list of the stuff that didn't match up on my Camry. You shouldn't have to worry too much about the few wires that don't connect under the dash - they are for the gauge cluster boost gauge, cat temp warning light and a couple other things that you don't need. -Charlie ill check those out it would be cool too c what didnt match up let me know asap.... also what else would cause the starter not to turn on? could it be that the ignition control isnt working im soooooooooooo alfcjal;km pm sent |
