So I just sold my leather seats to AMCMoe, no complaints there. He actually helped me out and gave me a cut-up leather seat for the drivers' side so i'd something to sit on before I put it in storage. The only thing i'm having issues with, is that for some reason the seat belt is too big to fit into the buckle on the chair. So it's my 98' seat belt and his 95' chair (both leather, different styles of chair - his had the lower back support adjuster). It seems that my seat belt is just too big. So when I get home tonight i'm going to take out the seat and see if I can't use one of the back seat buckles (they're currently out, only driver seat in car currently) as I have two to use and they are a larger size than the one on the chair. Has anyone else ever seen this? Am I going to have to just hit up the junkyard anyways!? Sorry for the long post. Cheers for any info.

Kind of missin' my Celica GT! Hit me up if you're ever in my area. I'm always down for a meet.

Actually just sent you a PM about that before seeing this post. I swapped my passenger side seat belt buckle over to his drivers seat and it worked fine; latches (obviously) and turns the light on the dashboard off. If you want, I can ship you back your old buckles if you want to ship me back my old one. That way you don't have to find the right one at the junkyard or anything and same for me.

I don't think you can use the buckles in the rear seats. I thought of that too, but from what I remember (haven't swapped in your rear seats yet) but I'm pretty sure the rear seats have a cloth piece that connects to the bolt holding them in. The front seats have a metal bracket kind of thing that connect to the bolt holding it in. I guess it might work, but you'd need something to hold up the seatbelt so it doesn't fall down under the seat if you know what I mean.

Here's a picture of my beloved driver's side seat, as of last year. wink.gif
