So, I went to the norcal JDM theory meet. I was one of 2 6gcs there, but if anyone goes on any other car forums, particularly evo forums, you'll probably hear about some "dumbass ricer in a celica"

coming off the freeway onramp only a matter of blocks away, I was trying to keep up with the EVO in front of me who was going pretty damn fast. well, somewhere around 60-70 mph on this 35mph offramp my car car lost traction and I started sliding FF drift style. now, all of a sudden the weight transfer throws my car in the total opposite direction, the car jumps over a curb, and according to my friend driving behind me, all four wheels were over a foot of the ground at one point. I flew over the small dirt embankment (a good 3ft drop.) and was now going the wrong way on a one way onramp... lucky for me there were no other cars coming that direction. anyway, I pulled over in a parking lot to examine the damage. honestly, there is some scratches on my front bumper, and the center crossmember is pretty scratched, other than that, no damage. I was EXTREMELY lucky. I was also the laughing stock of the entire show. but I'm alive, and my car is alive. and I think I'm going to start driving more careful now.

your suspension is completely stock, and you have zero dollars invested in decent rubber/wheels on your car. you're trying to act fast & furious in a sporty grocery getter, you may as well have been in a ford tempo.

there are too many disadvantages to using FWD as a platform for racing. it isn't designed for it.

keep in mind that car manufacturers designed front wheel drive for one reason - cost. you have been lulled in to a false sense of security because you THINK your car handles great, when in fact, it handles like **** in comparison to any rwd/awd car. people on here believe that the 6th gens are gods gift to ultimate handling, and they're completely wrong. they're always going to handle like ****, because they're FWD cars.

drive safe, if a cop catches you doing this ****, or you hurt someone, you'll wish you drove like a grandma. take it from someone who is currently riding on 3 tickets, it isn't fun.

i dont want to arguee with you but at a controled event that me and my friend went to i was able to out corner his porche 944 ,all though he was stock and i was modded ,i was able to run a better lap then him but it wasnt by much and his dads mustang could not keep up
