 Engine check light |

I was driving for around for 5mins, then the engine check light came on. After shutting the car off for about 3-4 hrs the light went away. Any suggestions whats going on? BTW its a 94 Celica.

 its better to know what the code is before you clear it. its not like its hard. it will just help you to look for symptoms related to the fault code. And that way your not wondering what the cods was. connect a peice of wire and watch a light flash..
