damnit I just lost the paragraph I just typed..I<ll make it short. I need help fast!!!!
Car stalled with no warning. Engine turns over with no sign of life(just fuel smell). Its NOT fuel related, pump is working. There is NO SPARK, its an ignition problem. Car will still not start hours later, no hesitation at all, just turning in the butter! Map sensor, coolant temp sensors are ok. We tried a working ignitor, not better. New spark plugs, cap and rotor. All fuses are ok, as well as obvious systems likes EFI, relay is clicking, etc.. At this point we're thinking its either the coil or crank angle sensor. I'm trying to gather as much info as my car is stranded on Prince Edward Island and its fraking 40$ of bridge toll to get there (I live in NB), so my friend and I want to go there with a bunch of spare parts and hopefully start the ''beast'' again. I'm pretty sure a new distributor assembly will take care of it..but I need to think of everything that can possible stop sparks from happening! Thanks for all your help and experience! actually to be honest, the igniter, i know on my 3sfe and 3sge engines, are grounded (through their bodies) to the frame, by being bolted to them...i had removed my ignitor from the frame, and couldnt get my car to start......so i ran a ground from my igniter to the frame, and voila, instant start....dosent sound like your case though....
