i was just wondering about upgrading my braking system. i notice that there is take about using a 7th gen big brake kit. has anyone tried this, if so plesae post some pics.
what are my options?? i know i cant use the st205 brakes any help will be great!!! |

idk about the rest of you...jdg should be able to back me up on this, though.
as an auto-x'er, i USE BRAKES. i haven't have good results with drilled/slotted rotors...they seem to warp easier from the heat. maybe i need to buy better ones....but they do eat up an expensive set of pads a little too fast for my liking. i've been known to use up brake pads pretty fast...like a whole set of hawks in one track day at waterford hills. as far as i can tell, the best ways to improve your braking are: -install stainless lines -use motul dot 4 rbf600 fluid (my personal recommendation) -get the best pads you can (green stuff, hawk, etc.) -get good tires. please do not underestimate the importance of good rubber in stopping ability. i'm waiting for spring to do all of this to my new celica, but that was the combination that worked miracles for my old one. -------------------- ![]() do you know who i am, mr. worley? |
