My car's at the Toyota dealership's body shop to get repainted (both doors, fenders, quarter panels, hood, new passenger tail light, driver window, weather trim). Pretty much the whole car except the back bumper and hatch will be repainted. My brother's tC just got a new quarter panel (he got hit) and they repainted the panel. Car looks ALMOST brand new.
My question is, is it possible for my car to ever look brand new? My insurance is covering me completely and i have a rental car and all. The guy at the body shop told em if there is anything wrong, it's covered so if i don't like how something came out, they would re-do it. honestly, I don't even want my car anymore. it was 5 months old and now i have to repaint it, which im assuming goes in the car's record so there goes the resale value of my car. I really don't know what to do... do you guys think it'll come out good? the color is a candy blue almost. the one on my sig. it's not like they're spraying white paint on it, so im not sure how it would come out. -------------------- ![]() |

if it's done properly, it will be fine, don't worry about it.
what kills the resale value of your car is if you have a bunch of mods on your car (excluding a professionally done turbo/supercharger). or it's been in a serious accident. if you've got an exhaust, intake, huge wing, and all that other crap, people assume you've been driving it like an asshole and won't pay what you'd expect for it. |
