at a local junk yard i found a late 80s gt4 and the guy said for $250 i can take the manifold, ct-26 turbo, downpipe, and oil pan i already have the 2 bar map sensor off that car........i have a boost controller and a stock GST BOV, im gettin the oil feed and drain lines as well as the coolant, bending my own intermediate pipe (turbo to intake manifold) and actual intake, do i need to do injectors, intercooler, timing setting, all that for 5 psi?

well what im thinking that this kit will cost me around $500 and im hoping to get somewhere around 5-8 pounds doesnt matter and i dont want to change too much so im gonna run the stock exhaust, and about 6 months later im getting a 3sgte so the turbo kit only has to last me about 6 months

Yes but you still need the fuel ... without the fuel it won't last. The other thing is, yours is a gen6... so you can't bump back the timing... which is why i recommended the meth injection
