If I have my ac on for a while the light starts to blink and my ac stops working. I have read on another forum that this is from a slip sensor on the ac compressor, but this was for a different model Toyota (03 Camry). Has anybody had to deal with this on their celi?

I have a 88 celica and I found it to be that the compressor's magnetic clutch went bad. So I replaced both because the magnetic clutch couldn't be bought seperately, and haven't had a problem since. If I remember right, the compressor was the same for 3s-fe and 5s-fe engines. I purchased it on ebay for 100.00 bucks and it was a new not refurbished compressor!

QUOTE(djkurious @ Nov 24, 2006 - 6:43 PM) I have a 88 celica and I found it to be that the compressor's magnetic clutch went bad. I purchased it on ebay for 100.00 bucks and it was a new not refurbished compressor! Yeah the ac compressor fits the 2S-E, 3S-FE, 3S-GE, and 5S-FE. I think I will take it to a shop first and have them look at it before I buy anything. -------------------- |
