i've got a whistler euro948 radar/lidar detector which does a great job, but the sound alert is way too quiet if the music is turned up loud (oh yes, i like my music high quality and high volume). so i either have to drive slow with my music loud or drive fast with music quiet so i can hear the detector in case the cops are targeting me. so the question is:
is there any way to make a cell-muting bridge for a detector (i think ALL lidar jammers have this option factory ready) so it would mute my audio system when it's detecting something? -------------------- You say you love flowers but you pick them, You say you love animals but you eat them, I fear the day you'll tell me you love me.

do not tap power from the LED or anywhere else in that device, you will damage the unit and it will not work for your application (LEDs are 2-3volts, relays are 12volt). also relays draw 250mA more or less, which is way more than the little transistors inside the circuitry of the device can handle.
If the unit doesn't support the feature no matter what, chances are there isn't much you can do. -------------------- ----------------------6GC's FIRST V6----------------------
