okay so i cnat decide if i should buy
two 12' Type R' woofers...... or one 12' type X' http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4281.html or http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2444.html im leaning towards the type R. and i will be runnign these on my sony amp that has 1200 watts max power....... and waht type of a box would you guys reccomend? ported? sealed? help will be appreciated ![]() -------------------- ![]() KB |

The Type X is definitely a far superior subwoofer compared to the type R but it would need much more power than you currently have to get it going.
Also make sure that your amplifier is stable to 2 ohms if you want to run 1 of the typeR or typeX subwoofers. Running two would not be a problem as you can wire it to 4 ohms. I would personally get the typeX and then upgrade the amplifier when I have money down the line. Otherwise, typeRs are good too for going loud but they are in a different league in terms of sound quality. Therefore, if you do not wish to spend any more money, get the two typeRs or I might even suggest a better amplifier + one typeR. An extra subwoofer doesn't give you much of a gain anyway(it is not double in volume). |
