 Alpine Type R'......Or Alpine Type X' ??? |

okay so i cnat decide if i should buy
two 12' Type R' woofers...... or one 12' type X' http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4281.html or http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2444.html im leaning towards the type R. and i will be runnign these on my sony amp that has 1200 watts max power....... and waht type of a box would you guys reccomend? ported? sealed? help will be appreciated

Wouldnt call it pointless, just depends whether you need it. Some people want it to utilise their amps better, some for install options etc etc.
Having two subwoofers instead of one to your existing amp will give you a 3db gain If you double the power(lets say you installed another amp and doubled power) and double the cone area(2 subs) , you get a 6db increase. Perceivable double in volume(what you hear as a double in volume) is 10db. Therefore you decide if it is worthwhile for you |
